My recent trip to Norway to recreate the attack route taken by the Operation Gunnerside team was an eye-opener in every respect. There was great insight into the history of the operation and the bravery of those that took part. It also gave me a real understanding of the physical environment, weather conditions, and the character of the people who live in the Telemark region. Most of all I found out a huge amount about what I am and am not capable of, which was a valuable experience - and not one that comes along every day. Aided by the brilliant leadership of Matt and Stein, everyone who took part tested themselves both physically and mentally, forming strong bonds along the way. The trip was well organised and good value for money. It was also great fun...even when we had to grit our teeth and grind it out! I would highly recommend SOE Expeditions if you have a passion for Special Forces history, a sense of adventure, or even just a desire to take yourself out of your comfort zone and test yourself. It is so much more than just an adventure holiday and might not be for everyone as a result. But if you're up for it and don't mind a challenge, it will be hugely rewarding.

I joined this trip together with my Dad, we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Matt and his team had a wealth of knowledge and their enthusiasm for the SOE Operation that we were following added so much value to the trip. The team remained focused to the requirements of individuals and had a degree of flexibility which allowed maximum participation for all members of the group. Great trip and thank you.

I had a great trip and was very impressed with the organisation and places visited. Our guide Malcolm was very knowledgeable and fine chap. Duncan our 2IC was also excellent as were our drivers. Last but not least, the guys I did the tour with were first class blokes and I couldn't have done it with a better bunch. Would love to go back to Day 1 and repeat it all again.

The Elite Raiders Scotland trip for me, was a walk back in time, visiting the places where ordinary people did extraordinary things 85 years ago! SOE, Commando, Kompani Linge, SAS/SBS Training grounds, museum visits, amazing views of Scotland, lovely Hotels, and to top it off, we took part in a SOE training mission experience! I highly recommend it! Thank you all all the SOE guides for looking after us!
